QC staff

• Re-design and production of LV cables per IEC60502-1 2004, amend.1 ed. 2.0; 2009 and MV cables to IEC60502-2: 2005 migrating from the early version of IEC60502:
1998. Creating awareness among QC staff/inspectors, production supervisors about the requirement of IEC60502-2004/05

• Developed a flexible & versatile cable design program for Power Cables (LV, MV and HV cables, armored/un-armored cables, control cables, water tight cables and special cables etc. meeting International Standards

• Developed and implemented cable manufacturing documents such as design/process
manufacturing specification for each product, raw material specifications.

• Created, developed and implemented a project under Six-Sigma statistical tool as applied on multi-pair jelly-filled telephone cable with positive impact of material cost
saving of SR 7.0 Million (US $ 2.0M). The project was implemented in a record time of about 6 months. The SPC based methodology was also applied in Power Cable plant.

• Familiar with National & International Standards and Specifications such as IEC, ICEA,

• Qualification of SCC Optical cables to Telcordia (BellCore specs.) in order to enter
USA market. For this purpose a 288 fiber cable was designed and produced, tested to applicable EIA/TIA specs and Bell Core GR-20 Specs. Some critical tests were made at ETL Semko (InterTek), Lexington, KY, USA, duly witnessed by me.

• Developed a fully water tight screened copper pair, multi-pair Pilot
cable for Electricity Dept. using combination of optical cable equipment and copper
telephone cable manufacturing equipment and tested for longitudinal water tightness.
• Explored new markets for our optical cables in Europe as a result supplied 1700 Km of 96 fibers cable to KPN Netherlands (installed between North of Netherlands, parts of Belgium and up to Frankfurt Airport) - 1999
• Major contribution in the ISO 9000 teamwork to attain the ISO 9002 accreditation for

• HV cable, Joint and Termination Failure investigation and analyses. Recently (Nov., 2013) participated in a joint investigation (HV cable Joint supplier, SEC engineers,
independent Lab engineers, independent inspectors (SGS) and I) of 1x2500mm2, XLPE
insulated 132kV Joint failure during Type Testing at Kinectrics HV laboratory,
Toronto, Canada.
