Basic Function Crane Operation :
 Operate the Rig Crane in safe & efficient manner, and in according to Company’s policies and procedures.
 Regularly perform preventive maintenance on Crane’s and components.

Operation & Maintenance :
 Provide Roustabouts with relevant instructions for current & the forth coming operations.
 Partake in pre job meetings prior to all non routine deck operations.
 Inspect all lifting equipment prior to Slings, Straps, Shackles, wire ropes ETC
 Ensure lifted loads are clear of obstruction, balanced & properly secured with tag lines.
 Operated the Crane as required for running Casing, Risers, picking up or laying down tubular, placement of equipment & supplies.
 Operate the Crane as required for transferring the personals & materials to and from Supply boats.
 Act as Helicopter Landing Officer supervising the transit of Passengers,Baggage Freight & refueling operations.
 Notify the Deck Pusher or Barge Supervisor prior to lifting or transferring heavy equipment's or materials that may effect the Rig’s stability.
 Assist the Barge Supervisor during Rig moves & anchor running and retrieving.
 Assist with the replacements and installation of mooring lines and bulk fill lines.
 Perform Safety inspection on gauges,indicators, limit switch, electrical cables, mechanical & hydraulic system on Cranes.
 Carry out Preventive Maintenance task on the Crane’s & Component Equipment, Maintain Log of all maintenance record.
 Maintain a clean & organised Main deck & Pipe Deck Rig.
 Assist in keeping running inventory of Slings and lifting Equipment in use. Advice the Barge Supervisor of shortages or damage slings ETC

 Duties performed :
General ship maintenance and repairing, Rig maintain, anchor handling, safety, communication with representative Clients, Different kind of operation as loading OBM, heavy weight, Barite, Bentonite, Cement, Cement jobs and other. On load and back load Casing Bundles, Containers, Raiser, Drill Collars, Drill Pipes, Pallets, Baskets, Units, Personal Transfers Etc. Operate Heavy lifts from Rig floor to deck and Deck to Rig Floor eg Risers, Slip Joints, BOP, and Sub Sea tools Etc. Arrange proper deck and Vessel area with Roustabout, house Keeping, General Crane Maintenance and Inspection, before Operation Follow and Conduct Tool Box Meetings before all Heavy Operations Issue of Permit to Work and Job Risk Assessment Before all Special Lifts, Using Billy Pugh to transfer personnel from rig to offshore vessel .Performing weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance on all cranes ,Performing checks and inventories on all rigging and lifting equipment.
