Mitchell Blutt, MD, has achieved a distinguished career history as a pioneering physician in the investment industry. Early in his career, he became an executive partner with JP Morgan Partners in New York City. Active in that role for over 15 years, he started and directly oversaw a successful health care group with JP Morgan Partners. Dr. Mitchell Blutt subsequently founded Consonance Capital, a health care investment firm based in New York. As the firm’s CEO, he oversees a health care private equity fund and a health care hedge fund.
Dr. Mitchell Blutt holds a master of business administration from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and a medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. In addition to his role in the investment industry, Dr. Mitchell Blutt currently serves in academia as a professor and a member of the Dean’s Council at Weill Cornell Medical College. His recent professional activities also include serving as a board member of the Michael J. Fox Foundation and a trustee of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
