Work History

Founding Director

MJM Consulting & Project Management Ltd

From September 2010

I am the founder of MJM Consulting & Project Management Ltd. In this capacity I work primarily for personal injury lawyers, medical malpractice lawyers, insurance companies and consumers.

I assess and modify/construct homes for people with disabilities. My life's work has been an effort to understand peoples unique needs within their homes and the built environment and to be able to design/modify/build spaces that provide optimal function. Being a part of a team that is instrumental in helping claimant's obtain fair compensation for their losses is an honour and I am grateful to be accepted as part of this community.

For over 25 years I have been designing, renovating, modifying and building new homes for my clients. I have a unique understanding of peoples needs within their homes and workplaces, when these people have unique or special needs, acquired injuries ranging from Traumatic Brain Injury, to Spinal Cord Injuries and other injuries which impact on their ability to ambulate and carry out their activities of daily living within a given environment.

A passion of mine is the renovation or new construction of homes and spaces for people with unique desires or needs. Building Home Theatres, Home Recording Studios and Specialized Listening Rooms is another of my unique skills.

Sprucewood Project

Subsequent to being vetted amongst 10 other Design/Build Firms I was chosen and tasked with reviewing the plans prepared by the Architectural Design Team, preparing a Scope of Work and a Budget for the project.

Upon approval I was then tasked with obtaining the building permits for the project.

Subsequent to approval by the homeowners and the Architectural and Interior Design Team my forces were tasked with the demolition of 7/8 of the home and reconstructing it according to the approved plans.

We delivered an on budget and on time turnkey home to the owners in approximately 14 months.

This home was featured in Dolce Vita Magazine and Spectacular Homes in Toronto

Wheelchair Accessible Home

The home, originally a 980 square foot 1 1/2 Storey home was virtually demolished and reconstructed to meet the needs of the owner who had become a Quadriplegic as a result of an Automobile Accident. This home became a 2,400 square foot home complete with elevator and all rooms accessible to the homeowner and her family.

I was tasked with preparing a Home Modifications Assessment/Report detailing the needs of the owner and the resulting home modifications which were both reasonable and necessary to assist her in returning to her pre-loss home.

Subsequently and upon approval I was assigned the project and my forces used to obtain building permits, demolish 3/4 of the home, construct the new additional space and finish the home in turn-key fashion..
