Free advice is extended to the farmers regarding cultivation and utilization of medicinal plants.

Established and Developed Shri Bapalal Vaidya Botanical Research Centre at the University campus by collecting donations from the society. The centre harbours,
-a garden spread in 12 acres of land.
-a garden has ca. 350 species.
-has two ponds to demonstrate aquatic vegetaion.
-herbarium has ca. 50,000 specimens.
-has 3000 seed samples.

24. Resource Mobilization:

1) "Shri Bapalal Vaidya Botanical Research Centre" for medicinal plants was established by raising donations from society - Rs. 1 crore.
2) Ministry of Environmental and Forestry gave a grant of Rs. 7.15 lacs to establish a garden and pond for conservation of medicinal plants.
3) Professor Minoo Parabia Endowment fund of Rs. 16 lacs was created by the students and friends at the time of retirement. The fund is dedicated to the University to institute fellowships and medals.
