•Efficiency improvement achieved in all mills and cost reduction programs finalised successfully. Restructuring project finished according to the BA strategy and after thorough studies of opportunities necessary closure or divestment of Silverdalen, Sittingbourne, Wifsta and Pont Sainte Maxence paper mills done.
•Successful supply chain re-engineering project and roll out of SAP ERP system and change of the operating model in the processes and organisation. Reduction of BA SC cost by implementing new service concept and operational simplifications.
•Divestment of Expresso BV to Liaison Group as a member of Expresso board of Directors
•After the divestment of MAP merchants to Antalis, building the supply chain solutions with Antalis as a member of the joined merger management team.

Working in Singapore and Thailand as a member of the top management of Metso Paper Asia and Metso Paper Asia. Managing Director of newly built Valmet Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and responsible of starting of the operations and business. Also responsible of implementation and restructuring of the service network and sales offices in Asia.

Key tasks and responsibilities
•Management of Metso service in Asia and responsible for sales network, after sales service units and strategy. Reporting to Valmet Service EVP, who was reporting to corporate CEO.
•Responsible for founding and starting the new subsidiary company in Thailand. P/L responsibility and operational responsibility of the business.
•Organising new project financing solutions and responsible for sales of larger customers
•Opening customer contacts/sales in new markets (India, Malaysia, Myanmar, etc.) and Increasing after sales services sales in Asia

Key Achievements in Singapore and Thailand
•Successful finalisation of the investment project and start up of operations in the new company (on schedule and below cost targets)
•Increase of after sales service business and sales in Asia
•Positive profitability development of the new company (faster than expected)
•Successful restructuring of sales network and closure of Singapore office without business disturbances
•Finishing of new strategy for Asia service operations and preparations for the investment of new service centre to Wuxi China and further expansions of the network

After thesis work I continued as an engineer responsible for coating machine deliveries to Europe and especially to USA. I also worked several months in the USA for Twostream double coater deliveries and start ups.

Five years in Asia starting new business in different countries of Asia and starting a new company for after sales service of Metso Paper Service.in Thailand. Managing several paper mills from Business area in Europe and turning the business in a difficult environment and decreasing market. Managing US sales together with the local office and service operations of Fine papers and changing the processes to improve the profitability and sales volumes. Working with different cultures and with different type of customers of paper industry: paper merchants, printers, brokers, print service companies in Europe, Russia and CIS, USA, MEA, and Asia. Managing different type of investment and development projects in Scandinavia and USA and participating hands on to the start up of the new mills and machines.

VP Supply chain and business development in M-Real Corp

Change and implementation of a large new supply chain system together with IT system of SAP to a multinational paper industry organisation. Change and project management of the installation and operational go alive management.
