Qualifications: I am a registered Professional Engineering Technologist Mechanical and Electrical and have a Post Graduate Diploma in Military Systems Engineering from University of Pretoria. A registered professional with the South African Institute of Mechanical Engineers and Society of Naval Architechts and Marine Engineers.

Experience: Experienced in the management of large production facilities and associated plant and engineering systems. Typically SA Naval Dockyard Simonstown, Manager Submarine Refit Section; Dorbyl Marine Shipyard – Shipbuilding Trials Manager; and SA Shipyards, Durban – Projects and Marketing Manager. Experienced in the management of estimating, tendering, design phases and contracting of naval and commercial shipbuilding projects, acceptance trials as well as the fabrication and installation of ship systems and production plant for the petro-chemical, pulp and paper, aluminium and sugar industries.
