Served as an elected member of the Ramona Unified School Board for two, four-year terms; Mediated educational, social, religious and financial conflicts between community members and the school district; Counseled community members of all faiths regarding the place of religion in public schools; Promoted a strong educational curriculum with a special interest in issues regarding ethics and religion; Member of the "Common Ground Task Force" to develop policies on controversial issues in public education; Presented seminars on practical ways to prevent social and religious conflicts between public schools and the communities they serve.
