I consider myself to be a professional recruitment consultant and have recruited for large international projects, banking executives, expatriates and grey collar workers for over seas oil and gas projects. Multi Site and Multi Regional Responsibilities, covering Europe, Scandinavia, Asia and the Middle East.

Duties include: Design, Develop and successfully implement HR policies and procedures. Health & Safety Co-ordination of international personnel. Recruitment of personnel from Project Manager to Regional Manager and Executive Level. Maintenance and development of HR systems, standards and procedures. Provide expert information, advice and a consultancy service to implement and support the HR management system and business mandate on various international projects. Ensure HR and training regulations are implemented and advise on current legislation and best practice on a national and international basis.

Design and deliver training inductions and implement appropriate training courses, skills evaluation, candidate profiling, contracts of employment, monitor and administration of international contracts.
Working with union representatives on Health and Safety, Working Time and Employee regulations, whilst keeping within the Project Management framework and maintaining the HR mandate for the project. ( Worked with Unions in: Atofina - France, Wilton - UK, Ireland and Canada). Make appropriate recommendations to Senior Management regarding the HR mandate for said project, if required.
Report to the President in Houston, Texas and the International Director on the appraisal and impact of any new legislation on the company's operations.

The day to day running of the Human Resources function involved: the coordination and implementation of safety training for all employees up to regional management level on a multi site basis; specify standards for Human Resources, recruitment, personnel logistics, employee contracts, HR policies, Training and Health & Safety of Personnel and the organization of committees and meetings.
