Have recently been doing some casual work at Dunedin Urgent Doctor's which deals with clients with acute medical conditions or have sustained an injury that is categorised under ACC.
Learn new skills quickly and think it is very important to keep myself up to date.
I am adaptable to any environment I am in; would enjoy some work in a medical practice, or hospital based - am available for shift work also, including weekends.
Am available to commence work immediately.

My role was very autonomous, and included but was not limited to:

.Being involved with eight schools within the Kaipara area, from junior school age to High school age, providing
health education and information for staff and students, monitoring students well-being and assisting the
Principals as they request.
.Running a weekly self-referral clinic at my allocated High School, providing sexual health advice, testing and
products, as well as general health advice during this clinic, I was also able to dispense the emergency
contraceptive pill.
.Referring students to other agencies as required i.e. Child, Youth and Family services, counselors, Vision and
Hearing, GP’s, Health Camp and specific programmes such as Enuresis.
. Liaising with the local police for assistance and/or advice.
.Completing assessment documentation prior to a referral being made and maintaining accurate
documentation.
.Assisting with communicable disease i.e. Tuberculosis, Rheumatic Fever, Measles and more recently, H1N1
virus, as well as assisting with immunizations and the HPV programme in schools
. Maintaining individual client records as well as school records.
.Completing a monthly report and daily statistics.
.Completing a school board of Trustees report twice a year.
. Attending monthly staff meetings as well as regional meetings.
.Maintaining my professional development within my workplace.

I am also certificated as a non-medical vaccinator.
