Reporting directly to the Board of Directors and setting the direction, strategy, budgets and managing the P&L of the company. Achieved 80% of the three year project within the first year. I reduced stock losses from +12% to under 1% in 4 consecutive stock takes. Financial year end stock takes were audited by auditors from Ernest & Young and Head Office auditor. Results: three stores under 0.3% and one at 0.9%. Turnover turned around from a loss of -18% to a 22% profit to Budget set for at 20% growth on previous year.

I am currently reporting direct to the Board of Directors and Chairman of Bright Horizons Limited t/a Mr Price Zambia. I define & execute all the company strategies. I set up and manage the P&L of my Brand very closely. I always analyse the existing business and identify areas of opportunity. I achieve my results through my management team and give them clear direction and constant feedback. I have discussions with any manager that falls short in any area of responsibility. I manage the various silos of operational functions: Merchandise, Assets, Staff Relations, Customer Relations, Marketing & Adverting, Contracts, Communications and the Brand Develop Strategy.
Accomplishments in the first year: reduce stock losses from +12% to below 0.03% in three consecutive stock takes, re-established the rules, grew turnover by 22% on last year. I made an addendum to letters of appointment in line with labour law, making management and staff accountable for any stock loss over the one (1) percent norm.
