Work History

Choral/Vocal Director at a middle school

Tippecanoe County Schools

August 2010 - March 2013

In 2.75 years at the middle school, I have made inroads with individual students who were willing to step up and accept a challenge to increase their skills and abilities in vocal music and performing. In my contact with a number of students within the school, I was able to connect one student with a considerable background in stage work and improvisation to Talent Fusion Agency with his father's consent. I expect to see a number of great things come from that specific student, because he has already had some paid performing/commercial work, and has been submitted for a Disney pilot which is currently in casting as of early 2013.

2011 - Two students went to state level solo and ensemble competition, after being the first two students to ever attempt the state level contest material from this school since it was changed from a high school to being a middle school about 30 years ago. (One 6th grade and one 7th grade student)

2012 - Four students competed in state level competition, with two receiving silver medals at district contest, and two receiving gold to progress on to state level where the two of them once again received gold medals.

2013 - 8 students entered into the Indiana State School Music Association Solo and Ensemble Contest, where 6 received silver medals at district contest, and two advanced to state contest where one took a silver and one took a gold. (One 6th grade and one 7th grade student)

The current climate of the school has been to enroll students without either interest or commitment to singing into choirs, As a result, a majority of students in individual choirs do not show much progress in either vocal capability, or even simple part singing. There are a number of individual students who have become dear to me, and have made a somewhat hostile situation bearable by working to increase their capacity as singers and performers. All of those with whom I have worked as soloists and ISSMA entrants are appreciated. The talent is there.

Vocal Coach and Talent Scout

Talent Fusion

From June 2009

In more than three years association with Scott Allen Tucker, Director of Talent Fusion Agency, it has been an honor to scout, and be a vocal coach to a number of performers who have gone on in search of their dreams. Those who have moved to New York or California to continue their work are missed, but networking makes it possible to stay in touch and celebrate in their successes. I am so blessed to work with creative individuals who have a vision of what they can do, and WANT to do.

ARTS Chicago Showcase 2009

May 2009 - May 2009

I was invited by Talent Fusion Agency of Indianapolis to take part in a showcase being present in Chicago by Applause Rising Talent Showcase (ARTS) after going to the auditions in Lafayette, Indiana with my son. We were both encouraged to take part in the showcase, where I came home with being in the top three award winners for each of the four events in which I entered.

In late June of the same year, within a month after the showcase, Scott Allen Tucker, the Director of Talent Fusion Agency asked me to be a vocal coach and talent scout for the Agency. I was told at the time, that he had wanted me as a coach and scout from the moment of the auditions, and wished me to experience the workings of a showcase, and how the agency worked with talent, so that I was prepared from the inside out to be a coach and scout for Talent Fusion.

It has been a most gratifying opportunity to enable others to pursue their options in the entertainment industry.
