As owner of Property Mgt. Company my duties were extensive. They entailed the supervising of the daily operations of the company. My duties included taking care of the banking, reviewing each clients income & expense reports every month. Being sure the maintanance crews were doing the jobs up to the company standards. The crews were plumbers, carpenters, landscapeers, debris hauling, electricians, and general handymen. I supervised the the staff leasing the warehouses, offices, and residential units. I also specialized in the marketing of the management company, and would meet with owners of commercial and residential properties to sell them on my company, and have them sign a contract to manage their investment property.
Rebuilding after hurricaine Wilma
After hurricaine Wilma hit Florida, we had over 100 properties in need of repairs. Some more extensive than others. It was not only Broward county, we managed properties in Tampa, Sarasota, and Ft. Myers. Getting repair estimates for the owners and their insurance co.Negotiating with adjusters. While wating for insurance money, prioritizing which property, and what repairs to make to keep the owners investments safe, without furhter damage from roof leaks, electrical issues, flooding to some areas. All this without power for weeks. We were able to make it happen, though it did take a couple months. This was a massive undertaking that we succeeded in accomplishing with few if any complaints.
