Hi Sir/Madam,

My name is Michael Gerstmann and i am currently working as a staff trainer in a well known fast paced retail warehouse and have done for the last three years, I have trained many different types of people ranging in size/age/race/charecters and ethnic backgrounds. Over the 3 years i have performed many inductions with groups ranging from 15-45 people per group from new employees to inducting new mangers, i have learned different people have a different learning speed and what works for one does not work for all, this is where looking at situations from a different angle to encourge a new prospective that is the most produtctive to the situation. I have created and tailored training course's and skill pacs for individuals and departments used by my employers company nation wide, I am polite and well mannerd and able to keep my carm under stressful situations and remaining professional.

I have full knowledge of unemployment and the situations that surrounds it, from being made redundent/ being fired/underqualified/health issues and lack of confidence. I have a brother who is mentally ill and another brother who was a trouble child in and out of jail for a large portion of his life so i have a empathy and good understanding of the problems that people face and the solutions that will help them while being able to be firm when required maximising my time for where it is needed most and reducing time wated.

I began working for Argos as a picker which is a physically demanding job requiring a great deal heavy lifting and constant walking. within a couple I months I was trained in A-stock using RDT's to correct stock counts, damages and also stock repair. I am now currently working as stock management and picker when required, checking cage fill, cage stacking (for any safety safety issues and item damage) and correcting any mis-calculations with item sizes and placement to maximize efficiency with item distribution. I have also been trained as a Staff Trainer and have been for one year now duties ranging from performing Inductions to groups up to 35 at one time, health and safety training, and Main Pick Training for groups of 3-6 individuals at a time. I am comfortable with public speaking, paperwork, I am trained with tri-ceps, desktop, voxware and twilight systems. There are many times i perform as a (pick buddy) which is short sessions with individuals who must raise the pick rate(pace of work) and are on there last warning, I have improved all individuals to there performance targets and above and have acquired a command of leadership when required and also a voice of encouragement when needed. I am also a member of the First Aid Team and the Spills Team.
