A 52 Bedroom superior 3 star Hotel in Kent My Brief to improve sales overall and implement systems and procedures We have Improved sales year on year by 40% as the hotel was in receivership the previous year I was due to relocate to the area but house prices in the South are very expensive especially in this area compared to the north So reluctantly My Self and my wife have decided to retain our house in the north and I should seek another post closer to my home than Kent

a small hotel and pub company with one hotel in Scotland and 3 lease hold hotels 1 in south shields and 1 Bridlington And 1 in west Yorkshire then acquired another large pub in Lytham The businesses did very well and were very successful but following attempts to financially restructure in the April of 2012 the Bank withdrew their support and the company folded (I suspect the MDs marriage breaking up didn't help their decision his wife was the financial director )

APPROACHED BY AN AMERICAN FRIEND to refurbish and relaunch his hotel in the lake district Joined him as GENERAL MANAGER/DIRECTOR although the hotel was a small operation to start with I had managed to attract a contract from a team/building/training company we then added 6x 3 bedroom lodges (log cabins) and a MARQUEE function room capacity 150 persons, then I was targeted to relaunch the hotel and increase sales in all areas this was achieved very quickly due to good marketing and an excellent team of staff but then the owners mother died in the USA and at the same time he was approached by a developer and offered a good deal and the owner sold the site to them to enable him to concentrate on his interests in AMERICA

this hotel was sold hence the reason for the short stay

• Responsible for all aspects of general and operational management
