I have over 25 years experience in the film, television and music business. I have also written numerous screenplays [most recently he wrote "King of the Colored Conjurers" optioned by Julie Dash's Geechee Girl Productions]
I have been involved in the production of numerous live concerts and festivals for Festival Productions in New York City. Some of those festivals include "The Benson and Hedges Blues Festival", The Toyota Comedy Festival and First Night in the Empire State Building.
I was the Executive/Artistic Director and chief architect of the highly successful and critically acclaimed Nashville Film Festival and am currently on the advisory board.
At present I am an independent producer with numerous television, film and music projects to his credit including the writing the score for the CINE Golden Eagle Award winning film Travlin' Trains and the 48 Hour Film Festival winning film Picking Up After You. I have also written music for Tuner Broadcastings Non-Fiction Department.
Michael has been a consultant to such organizations as the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville, TN, Nashville Public Television (NPT,) Nashville Jazz Workshop, N4Arts, C.A.T.S., VANN, The South Carolina Office of Film, The South Carolina Arts Commission and The Metro Nashville Arts Commission.
I am currently working on two documentaries as well as numerous music videos and web page videos for small and medium sized businesses.
