Previously, I worked on issues relating to Queensland’s agricultural industries managing projects for the provision of information and statistics. I contributed to past Queensland departments’ of primary industries crop and livestock estimates.
My responsibilities included working independently to monitor and explain the emerging issues and trends impacting on Queensland’s agricultural industries. I worked with the department’s economists, scientists and policy officers and built up a considerable repertoire of industry and statistical information which I made available for numerous applications across the department. I developed and managed very effective processes for providing continuous industry information and advice across the department on industry statistics, current trends and projections.
