Starting at 4AM I had to Prep up for breakfast being served at 7.30AM. the Hotel served English
Breakfast and Continental Breakfast too. It varied from cereals to fruits to delicatecent to fry ups. I also
had to prep the staff lunch at 10AM, which concerned of a veg dish, a meat dish a fish dish and a
dessert. these could include varies dishes like pasts dishes, pastry dishes, any breakfast extras. Filling up Purchase Orders was essential so no item would go missing. Stock rotation was a must and Good
Hygiene Practices were obviously expected.

Australian Waters - Gorgon Project & Wheatstone Project

Allseas is one of the major offshore pipelay and subsea construction companies in the world, operating six specialised vessels, which were designed in-house. We provide worldwide support to clients from the conceptual design stage to engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning.

Gorgon Project work scope:
Installation of 6 trunklines and 15 infield pipelines, totalling more than 660 km, with diameters ranging from 6" to 34";
Installation of various structures including 36 PLETs, 800 mattresses and 12 pipe supports;
Trenching of more than 120 km of pipeline;
Flooding, gauging and hydro testing of pipelines;
Fabrication and installation of buckle initiators.

Wheatstone Project Scope of work:
Design and fabrication of export trunkline and multiple production pipeline structures
Installation of 220-km, 44-inch concrete-coated export pipeline
Installation of 34-km, 24-inch CRA-clad production pipelines
Installation of 34-km, 14-inch CRA-clad utility pipelines
Installation of 34-km, 6-inch carbon steel MEG flowlines
Installation of subsea structures (including 14 PLETs, 6 in-line tees and 41 counteract structures)

Rig Safety Technician / Training Coordinator on ENSCO 5004

Tank cleaning - Crown/Derrick Upgrade - Blasting BOP carrier - Installation of Valves & Mixing Lines
My duties and obligations consisted of:
- Participate in the implementation of safety policies requirements, including statutory requirements, Ensco policies & procedures, client requirements in liaison with the SHE Dept.
- Provide facility safety induction for employees, visitors, regulators & service personnel
Assist in the implementation of all company safety initiatives introduced to the rig
- Reviews & comments on Job Safety Analysis performed by others
- Assist in development of Job Safety Analysis

Working on the West Phoenix has boosted my confidence. Having space age technology and an impeccable crew, kneads safety into productivity, bringing out the professionalism in everyone which is something to be very proud of. The atmosphere is a one for all, friendly environment which automatically triggers you into working mode.

SeaFox2 -North Sea Dutch Sector

As a Safety Officer, on the Sea Fox 2, I was involved in Projects on the K5 Central Complex which comprising of 3 platforms linked by bridges and on the L7 Central Complex which comprises of 4 platforms linked by bridges.
My main duties where;
Permit control on site - verifying that all necessary paper work and signatures are in place, all the Hazards and Risks are identified and correct control measures and precautions are taken, There are no works in conflict between each other which may be a detriment to personnel working next to or above each other, all personnel are following correct systems and procedures for task at hand - correct Tag In Tag Out system followed keeping in mind this is a Gas Plant, correct system isolation are a must especially in hot work situations and correct fire watch techniques, Correct tools for the job and correct Personal Protective Equipment to the particular task or job.

Noble Paul Romano Drilling Rig Dock Project

Working as an Asst. Safety Training Supervisor, my duties and responsibilities varied both administrative and physical and these where ;
Supervising the activities handled by the Dock personnel on steel and pipe work - Permit to Work System, Job safety analyses, Tool box Talks, Risk Assessments, Fire watcher is competent for the job, in place and knowing correctly his duties and having all the necessary control measures like fire extinguisher and covering flammable objects or materials with fire proof cloth, formulating a rescue of plan.
Taking care of the daily Personnel on Board and the T-Card system while distributing cabins to the crew.
Keeping well maintained and well stocked (if under stock, filling up an electronic request form which is sent to the Materials co-ordinator to be ordered) the Safety Cabinets around the Rig which consisted of BA set, Tripods, Manual winches, Fire fighting equipment, Fall arresters, Safety harnesses complete with lanyards, Life boat extras, Gas detectors and VHF radios (all Explosion proof),
Pre-tour meetings before every shift starts or Jobs - highlighting any positive or negative actions so that everyone can learn from the situation at hand, any important points to be cleared before commencement i.e. before a critical lift is done or a major operation on the rig floor, any notices of the day like adverse weather or participation in check cards and stop cards programs, right tool for the job.

Subsea 7 - Boreales

A Pipe Layer with a massive Crane WLL of 5000Kg was moored at HUISMAN for Engineering Alterations. Alterations varied from cosmetic to mechanical to electrical and also commissioning software programming. My main task on this vessel was ;
Fire Watch: Taking care that the working area is safe to work in before the commencement of the task at hand i.e. any present flammable materials or objects should be removed, any wiring or flammable fixtures should be properly covered by a fire proof blanket, point out any present hazards and control them as much as humanly possible, no the surroundings and establish an emergency plane as well as a rescue plane (in case of a confined space even more so), Fire extinguishers in place and pre-inspected before task begins, checking for inspection dates and physical visible damage, Radio communication is also vital in case of an emergency.
Over viewing the permits for that particular shift to ensure that all paper work is in place, all the necessary precautions have been taken, all the hazards have been recognised and risks controlled, there are no work conflicts within the working areas and all personnel working in the safest way possible for the good of all.

Noble Globe Trotter

Moored at HUISMAN, a 6th Generation Drilling Tower was Engineered and fitted on premises in Schiedam. On this intense project my main duties consisted of :
To Safe guard the the in-house crew which was made up of Fitters, Platers, Welders, Electricians, Technicians and Commissioning Team responsible for all the software programming.
Confined Space co-ordinator; recording ambient O2 and CO2 levels as well as toxic and combustible levels, Recording personnel in and out of confined spaces and seeing that every one abides by the confined space policy's rules and regulations.
Observing Behaviour, Promoting Positive and proactive Culture whilst correcting unsafe acts all in contest of safety, for staying safe is the first golden rule to everyone concerned.
