Position entails being on the Road mostly conducting monthly meetings with clients, chasing up their debtors even if it means you have to visit them. Maintain existing clients and Market for new clients. Currently service the following areas: Durban, Durban South, Pinetown, Gateway, Ballito, Pietermaritzburg, Hilton, Howick.
❖ Visit clients for monthly Debtors meetings;
➢ Go through their Debtors Ledger and Assess book;
➢ Encourage clients to have new accounts vetted through BCB;
➢ Determine which debtors owe in excess of the established credit limit;
➢ Establish what is being done to collect those accounts over term;
➢ Recommend security where necessary (i.e. New business for substantial limits);
➢ Assist with the recommendation for legal action;
➢ Assist with CGIC or COFACE claims;
➢ Provide market intelligence at meetings;
❖ Confirm meeting in writing in the form of Minutes;
❖ Identify follow ups on a monthly hit list (to do list) which lists all the clients individual requirements;
❖ Visit Debtors to endeavour to assess risk by obtaining work in progress, infrastructure etc. Assess/interpret AFS / Management Accounts on site with the debtor present and make a decision /clarify any risk issues and determine;
❖ Market for new clients;
❖ Collect outstanding debtors amounts.
❖ Host of other activities / service provided interlinked with the below duties expressed.
