During my placement I gained experience in facilitating psycho-educational groups with treatment females. I gained a thorough knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Dialectic Behavioral Therapy. The program consisted of Anger Management, Substance Abuse, Healthy Relationships, Interpersonal Skills and Relapse Prevention, in which I facilitated. I Shadowed the Classification Officer and was taught how to implement the (LSI) Recidivism Assessment Tool.

In this position, I assisted an individual who had Autism. My responsibilities included working with the PEC (picture exchange programming). I operated a voice output operating system, as this individual was non-verbal. Reading, prompting, behavior modification, daily chores, were included in the daily care of this individual.
