Secured financial and product sponsorship for inaugural marathon in Central New York, including on-course and post-race nutritionals, and training programs. Brought in women’s running pioneer to serve as emcee and honorary race director. Produced pre-race expo in open area atrium, including speakers on cutting edge topics and display of more than 30 vendors; and pre-race pasta dinner with inspirational presentations. Oversaw emergency and event communications on race day. Inaugural race drew a field of more than 2,400 athletes with demographics including 60% women and 40% men from 35 states and 6 countries.
