Oliver - Public Relations/Writer - Springs, GP, South Africa

Melanie Oliver

Springs, GP, South Africa

Having run my own business for over a decade, it is time for me to move indoors. A regular pay cheque, minimal staff supervision and less stress, would be a welcome change. I love the work I do and excell at it, but my writing, creative and organizational skills are excellent too. The opportunity to travel would be great. Being single with no dependants has some advantages. Personally, I like a challenge and am now mature enough now to accept being an'imperfect' perfectionist. Professionally, I can work in a team, but find it slows me down a bit, which can frustrate me. I am used to be able to assess sitations fast, analyze the information in record time and being able to make quick decisions. Something which does not happen in group settings often. Having an above average IQ, plus being a 'Synthesist Thinker' means that I literally do think differently t most people. When both halvesof your brain are equally dominant there are advantages and disadvantages. I am great at spatial geography, but lousy at algebra and fractions. I think fast, write fast, so my handwriting is terrible, but I have techniques and learn new methods to deal with any problems. However, I am mostly cheerful, friendly, outgoing and optimist by nature and have a great deal of empathy, which is why I able to be socialize well. Ja well, no fine! I am now boring myself...
