I was temporarily assigned as Acting Director of the General Education Department (a position that was previously nonexistent until defined by me by necessity) during the transition of Directors of Education during spring of 2009. I was primarily responsible for recruitment, selection and orientation of all new; general education faculty in addition to staffing my own departments. The position of General Education Director was officially adopted for the first time ever by MMC and has since been filled by a full-time instructor I hired and championed for the position. I was instrumental at implementing and developing the new instructor orientation program, the new retention management program, and other policy changes at the college. I work closely with the Director of Admissions and her team to ensure that all students interested in my programs are provided the most up-to-date information and I attempt to personally meet with each potential new student to assist the Admissions Representative to complete the transaction in assisting the student to decide to attend Miller-Motte College. I am also an instructor for the paralegal courses and responsible for evaluating and training my staff. I am pursuing the highest standards of excellence for the paralegal program by pursuing NCBA qualification for the paralegal program, AAfPE institutional membership and eventually ABA approval on or before 2012.
