Develop Communications Strategy
Develop and review communications/marketing strategy, plan and policy framework so that efficient, effective and appropriate communication messages are provided to internal and external stakeholders with the objective of promoting the appropriate image of the organization, as well as informing the role players of the work done.
Manage strategic stakeholder relationships
Identify the relevant role players in accordance with business requirements and dependencies. Understanding of what motivates them and win them around.
The experience started when I was a journalist and editor at SABC TV news, at Rand Water where I was the Media Relations Manager and at Transnet where I deal with the media regularly. This has been done via direct interaction with journalists, writing press releases and special communiqués, monitoring and evaluation of publicity received. Media training for the executives and compiling reports and circulating them to relevant managers.
Manage brand and image
Consulting operating divisions to determine the outputs required for brand management. Determine the objectives for the brand in accordance with the divisional and departmental strategy and business plan.
