Provide PMDS presentation sessions, training and advice all staff members within the Department regarding PMDS issues.
Quality assures the Performance Management documents and Performance. Agreements of SMS members and ensures that all staff members are in compliant with Policy issues.
Ensure circulars and reminders are sent for submission of Performance. Agreements on or before due date, and report to DPSA regarding the compliance of the SMS members Performance Agreements.
Ensure the Director-General’s Performance Agreement and assessment documents are quality assured and submitted to Public Service Commission (PSC).
Ensure maintenance of the database and status reports is monitored on monthly basis.
Ensures information of newly appointees is captured and updated on the PMDS database.
Manage a costing model to monitor expenditure on performance incentives awards/ bonuses.
Ensuring compliance to the 1.5% of the Annual Remuneration budget allocation for the Department.
Conduct annual performance appraisals meetings for assessment of all Staff members in the Department.
Arrange moderating committee meetings for all levels including SMS members and serve as secretariat for the committee. Render advice during assessment meetings.
Draft minutes to the chairperson for concurrence.
Prepare submissions to the Minister/ DG/ Delegated Authority to obtain approval of the Moderating Committee’s recommendations.
Monitor the implementation of Performance Incentive Awards and Pay. Progressions in conjunction with HR Management (Persal Unit).
Provide accurate advice and guidance to all staff members in the department Analyse performance reports against Strategic and Operational/Business Plan.
