Duties and Responsibilities
➢ Preparing, analyzing and reporting, monthly or quarterly gross margin analysis per process or job/batch, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analysis and profitability.
➢ Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analysis of inventory evaluation and inventory roll forward
➢ Coordinating with IT department for system issues, maintenance and development such as production, purchasing, import/export, accounts payable, accounts receivable, import/export IT, receiving and other.
➢ Analysing cost accounting data and assisting with cycle count/physical inventory count.
➢ Maintaining internal control documentation and testing internal controls
➢ Implement and develop process improvement techniques; work instructions, process flows and procedure mapping.
➢ Work in special projects as required
➢ Strives to develop strong working relationships with managers, supervisors and all related plant personnel to drive process improvements, process flows and procedure mapping.
➢ Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management.
➢ Updating bill of material standard costs; reporting on break-even points by products
➢ Supervising and ensuring that internal controls are being maintained and implementing new internal controls as needed.
➢ Assisting in preparing management accounts and reporting.
➢ Responsible for plant level costs and control including cost accounting, bill of material audits, and cost analysis.
➢ Works closely with manufacturing to understand issues and how they impact the financial results as well as educate/inform department(s) on cost drivers and variances.
➢ Interact with Production Control to ensure Bills of Materials (BOM) are accurate and up to date.
➢ Review and audit BOM's to ensure they reflect the latest manufacturing practices.
