Yalovitz-Blankenship taught painting and drawing at the Atlanta College of Art and Georgia State University. She has been a guest instructor at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Massachusetts College of Art and Simmons College, Boston and served in the Mentor Programs at Art Institute of Boston at Lesley and Radcliffe College. Her work has been shown in over one hundred exhibitions including twenty-six solo shows. Curatorial work includes the September 11 College Fund Exhibition at The Radcliffe Institute and co-curator for Image/Text at G.A.S.P. Two large grids: Naming Things, composed of twelve panels each is in a permanent installation at Delta Terminal A, Logan Airport in Boston, MA.

Maxine Kumin, Rosanna Warren and Philip Levine have honored her with poems about her work. Levine's poem is in a folio of prints: Nine Houses.
