I have a Masters Degree in Industrial Social Work and have been involved in research outcomes in the private sector and with national government departments.
Finding the right mix of raw data versus the funding needs of an NGO is a tall order. Most NGO's are so swamped with running the day to day pressing issues that there's little to no time to work on the important but not pressing issues of research. research in NGO's is critical to the life of any organisation. Why then is so little time being spent on it. The most obvious answer is time and resources.
My organisation is currently working on a research concept that busy NGO's can effortlessly upload at the end of a day and/ or week. We want to provide quality solutions to real research and NGO conundrums. Watch this space for updates on our research progress.
