Requested then to take over 'problem' site at Epsom WTW (TWUL). Determined critical path of remaining works & produced written Programme acceptable to TWUL. Works proceeded in line with programme & 28 day test & commissioning of plant/process/telemetry started on specified date.

An unusual structure, the whole is Supported by raking V columns from the ground floor slab to the Transfer slab 10m above and is curved on plan and in elevation. The Basement is formed within contiguous piling on the perimeter with Columns founded on piles, which in turn support the ground slab and The V columns above. Urban/Rural District Sewage Development – over 20 sq miles (52 sq Km). 18miles (30Km)Pumping Main, 18 No Pumping Stations – 8m depth, Telemetry links, 3 miles (5Km) Gravity Sewers – all linked to Long Sea Outfall at Littlehampton, Sussex. High degree of PR required due to encroachment on Golf Courses, Private Estates & the like. – William Press; Civil & Mechanical Engineers.

3. Longreach Sewage Treatment Works – Thames Water, Dartford. Surplus methane gas utilized, transferred from holding tanks via welded steel pipeline at high level on Steel Columns/piled foundations, to CHP Engine holding Station, with associated Boosters, Telemetry, Pumps, M&E Input, Computerised Control Panels.
High degree of H,S,& Environmental control required due to gas holders & Sewage Control equipment on route. – Costain; Civil Engineers.

4. Portfolio of Major Up-grades on FW Treatment Works in Sussex/Kent; New Humus Tanks/PST’s, Chemical treatment silos/dosing, New Pumps/Mains, Gravity Sewers,Telemetry – Costain 4D; Civil Engineers.
