Summary:

I was a Technical Architect with PlusNet, where in five years I moved from answering the phones in support up through several roles including software engineering and management, culminating in this role.

I was responsible for the design and prototyping of complex enterprise-wide software and hardware deployments. At times in this role I also performed the duties of a DBA and a Business Analyst. Although I had no direct reports I was a design authority for the company with seniority and coaching/mentoring responsibilities.

My greatest achievement in this role was the design and build of a testing platform which provided multiple end-to-end replicas of PlusNet's live servers (LAMP + JBoss) , using Xen virtualisation, a custom iSCSI SAN, and many non-obvious solutions to complex problems.
