Before launching his career as an account manager and management consultant, Matt Prossen received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Westminster College in 2000. After completing his undergraduate studies, Prossen became a sales assistant at Verizon Wireless in Pittsburgh. Matt Prossen finished the six-month training process, which taught him the skills necessary to succeed as an account executive for business-to-business sales. Prossen assumed responsibility for key accounts in the East Pittsburgh market, such as the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University.
After leaving Verizon Wireless in 2001, Matthew Prossen accepted an offer to become an account executive with Cleancare. During his time with the company, he handled the Eastern Ohio and Northwestern Pennsylvania territories, specializing in the sale of floor mats, restaurant linens, restroom supplies, and uniforms.
In 2003, Matt Prossen joined G&K Services as a territory sales representative with the goal of increasing market share in the Akron and Canton regions. In the first quarter of 2004, He earned recognition as the top sales representative on a team of more than 200 representatives and closed one of the largest accounts in the history of the Sharon, Pennsylvania, office.
In 2008, Matthew Prossen became a Practice Management Consultant with American Express/PDI Inc./Ogilvy Action, where he assumed responsibility for the marketing and selling of high-end charge products. Prossen self-generated his client roster, which included dentists, veterinarians, family practitioners, and surgeons, through cold calling and aggressive prospecting. Throughout his career at American Express/PDI/OA, he achieved more than 240 percent of his quota and placed in the top 10 percent of the national sales force.
Today, Matt Prossen works as a District Manager at Automatic Data Processing, where he generates new business opportunities for the full line of workforce management solutions.
