Matt is currently studying a Bachelor of Music Studies/Graduate Diploma Education (Secondary) at the QLD Conservatorium of Music. He has a host of performances to his name, including engagements with the QLD Conservatorium Wind Orchestra (2010, 2011) under the direction of Mr. Ralph Hultgren, the QLD Conservatorium Saxophone Orchestra (2010 - 2012) under the direction of Ms. Diana Tolmie. With the Saxophone Orchestra, Matt has recently returned from an International tour to Scotland & Greece, where the ensemble performed at the XVI World Saxophone Congress (St. Andrews, Scotland) and the International Society of Music Education Conference (Thessaloniki, Greece), premiering a number of new pieces for Sax orchestra at these events.
Having Been involved in Community Theatre for the past 7 years, Matt has performed in the orchestra (as a reed player) in productions of Annie, Hair, All Shook Up, The Boy From Oz (Arts Centre, Gold Coast); Cats (Javeenbah Theatre), A Chorus Line, Dusty: The Original Pop Diva, All Shook Up (Spotlight Theatre, amongst many other productions.
Currently, Matt is a semi-regular performer with local Gold Coast Big Band - Funk Factory.
