Educating through music, dance, and storyteller - introduction to Native American cultures
Fundraising with the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers
I have been a performing artist with this non-profit cultural organization for decades. We raise Native scholarship funds. I perform Native dances and songs from the Northeast, Southwest, Southeast, Plains, and Northwest Coast. My stories are also varied and include one that I wrote myself about being at Santo Domingo Pueblo (now Tewa Pueblo) in New Mexico, for Corn Dance. Throughout the year I support our fund raising efforts behind the scenes, working on committees to ensure the smooth function of many of our events, including dancing at our socials at the Museum of the American Indian in New York City. Aside from from the fundraising, I promote culture awareness, with empathy. I encourage our followers and newcomers to join us in creating and nurturing our Native community and respect for the diversity of cultures.
