Worked in Libya Tripoli, at the Elkhada Hospital to assist in improving the level of Emergency Care offered at the Hospital
I mentored the current unit manager
Together with an architect we drew up sketches and added structurally to the Emergency department to facilitate the effective running of the unit.
Actively trained the staff in triaging skills, which were lacking.
Drew up policies and procedures for the department as guidelines based on international best practice standards.

Lead Nurse

Managing all medical conditions onboard within a team of two to five Registered Nurses and one or two Physicians.
Running a Wellness program for all the crew onboard, as well as managing a chronic clinic for crew who have hypertension, and or diabetes.
Phlebotomy and running our own lab work, doing X rays and training crew on how to assist the medical team in emergency situations.
I am also involved in drills on a weekly basis and management of major emergencies onboard. These include Fires, Grounding or Flooding on the ship, Mass Casualty Triage and Management as well as responding to medical emergencies on the vessel.

I completed my post Basic Trauma Coarse through the University of Johannesburg
My duties included triaging, treating and managing patients who came into the unit.

Played a key role running of the sexual assault clinic.
Did a short course in forensics. I examined victims of sexual assault, counseled them and went to court as an expert witness for the victims.
