Time to learn groups

I am currently liaising with two early childhood educators (kinder teachers) to begin running small groups with preschool aged children diagnosed with Autism or other developmental delays. They will focus on pre-reading, pre-writing skills, joint attention, play skills and of course, social skill development. The groups will vary between 2:1 4:1 ratios depending on the age and abilities of the children. These groups will prepare children for kinder and school and supplement their kinder experiences as well as their therapy sessions. I will be involved in planning the groups, goal setting and helping the educators understand the children individually. I won't attend groups to keep the costs down. The groups will be offered across several weekdays, morning and early afternoon. The children can be dropped and picked up by other than parents if necessary allowing working parents to access the groups also. In future we may even look at some Saturday and school holiday programs for the early school aged children too. The first groups will be operational as of term 4 2014. Fell free to make any enquires and referrals if appropriate.
