- Part time
Marty Naul is a native Texan, born in Ft. Worth and living there as well as Midland and Houston. His musical career started the usual way, playing in various “garage” bands. Marty joined Duane and Bill Massey in Oz Knozz in May 1971, when original drummer Jack Alford decided to pursue another profession. Marty and Duane went to high school together in Houston and attended college together at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Tx., where they both majored in Music. Marty has been part of every Oz Knozz project since he joined in ‘71, including live shows and recording projects, such as “Ruff Mix” in 1975, the EP in 1981, “10,000 Days & Nights” in 2008,and the latest CD release, "True Believer" in June of 2012.
Like most of the other Oz members, Marty has played with numerous other musical organizations with and without other members of Oz Knozz, and has many years of experience playing and recording a variety of musical styles. However, it is Oz Knozz that seems to be the glue that holds this group of musicians together.
As mentioned above, the latest project Marty and Oz Knozz have collaborated on is the band’s long-awaited follow-on CD to ”10,000 Days & Nights", their 2012 release, "True Believer".
In March of 2012, Oz Knozz was signed to a multi-year, multi-album record contract with Prog Rock Records/The Record Label (http://www.therecordlabel.net/pop-rock/oz-knozz/) and in June 2012, Prog Rock released the "True Believer" CD worldwide.
In November 2012, Marty received an endorsement by Grover Pro Percussion/Silver Fox Drum Sticks (www.beststick.com).
Marty’s drumming influences include Neal Peart, Michael Portnoy, Carl Palmer, Clive Bunker, Buddy Rich, Louis Bellson, and Gene Krupa.
Marty plays a set of Custom-Made Slingerland drums, with all hardware by Gibraltar, Cymbals by Zildjian and Paiste, Silver Fox 5-B sticks, and “Rockenhedz” bass drum heads Custom-Made by Queensryche drummer Scott Rockenfield.

Oz Knozz/Oz Knozz Music
From May 1971
OZ KNOZZ (pronounced Oz Ka-nozz'), has been on the Music Scene for many years, touring and opening shows for the likes of Supertramp, Kansas, Peter Frampton, Point Blank, and Judas Priest, to name just a few. In addition, they have headlined many of their own shows, building an almost fanatical fan-base over the years. In 1975, OZ KNOZZ released their first album,"Ruff Mix", which, incredibly, is still enjoying worldwide sales! The band took some time off during the 90's, but is back and better than ever, with the June 2008 release of their come-back album,"10,000 Days & Nights". The members of OZ KNOZZ have always been known for their playing abilities, and their superior song writing. The CD amply shows off those talents. On March 15th., 2009, Oz Knozz was presented with a Grindie Award by RadioIndy for best new Independent Rock CD release of 2008!
In early 2009, Oz Knozz also signed on with Nicky Baldrian and TwoSideMoon Promotions of Swansea, Wales, to handle the band's overseas affairs. TSM Promotions has just recently renewed its contract with the band for 2012.
In March 2010, Oz Knozz returned to the studio to begin work on a new CD project, titled "True Believer", to be released in late summer or early autumn of 2011.
The new CD, "True Believer", was finally released on October 22nd, 2011 and by the second week of November, the band's song "Goodbye Again" was voted TSM Promotions #1 Song in their Top 50 Songs for 2011!
On March 6th, 2012, Oz Knozz was signed to a multi-year, multi-album contract with Prog Rock Records of Los Angeles, California!
