Laskowski - Apprentice Boilermaker - Adelaide, SA, Australia

Martin Laskowski

Adelaide, SA, Australia

Summary

I am looking for another host employer so I can continue my apprenticeship through CVGT as an Apprentice Boilermaker (Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (MEM30305)). I was let go from my last employer (MG Engineering) due to a down turn in work.

Marine & General Engineering is a family operated metal fabricating company which had contracts to complete work for Australian Submarine Corporation (ASC) and the new Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH). As an apprentice Boilermaker with Marine & General Engineering, I worked as part of a team to build submarine masts and hulls as well as general safety railing. My general duties included MIG, Stick and Flux core welding, operating and maintaining forklifts, undertaking deliveries using company cars, maintaining tool and metal inventories and maintaining the cleanliness of the workshop.

Workshop tools I used included 9 inch and 5 inch grinders, ratchets, and workshop machinery such as guillotine, punch, brake press and cold saws. I also used 10 tonne cranes to lift and manoeuvre various thicknesses of mild steel plate and bulk heads, using slings and chains.

I am hard working, punctual and willing to learn and have my own mode of transport with a good driving record, and am ready to re-commence my apprenticeship as soon as possible.
