Work History

Consultant Meteorologist/Conjoint Lecturer

Major Accomplishments in Education Industry

•Designed the ‘Applied International Aeronautical Meteorology’ for International Aviation and for International students.
•Designed advance meteorology course provides pilots a sound analytical framework to facilitate identification of flight conditions and possible hazards - University of Newcastle, Australia.
•Established ‘Pilot Weather Observing Course’ to improve the meteorological training on International scale and to develop new ways to strengthen the structure of aviation syllabus to allow undergraduates to develop deeper understanding of Aviation meteorology and IMC weather condition.
•Established Meteorology unit GEOS 2060 Weather & Climate course for Primary school teachers.
•Develop techniques for interpreting weather satellite and radar images of weather system in mid-latitude, tropic and global.
•Developed new ways to apply “Numerical Weather Products (The Vision of the future in Aviation/Maritime meteorology)" and exploit the Satellite and Radar technology. This model has been adopted by Australian (RAAF) and tested internationally.
•Developed skills for Aircrew to understand practical knowledge and expertise to closely examine the following weather hazards in order to anticipate and avoid them whenever possible.

Aviation Weather hazards
Wind shear Lightning Low ceiling Fog Strong winds
Downburst Hail/Microburst Fronts Cyclones Tropical systems
Development of Jet-stream CAT, (Clear air turbulence) Thunderstorms,

• Turbulence causes and types,
• Understand the concept of icing as applied to aviation operations,
• Understand the basic fundamental of Numerical Weather Forecasting,
• Be conversant with the Weather Numerical products- the general prognosis scheme and the governing equations, physical processes, boundary conditions, the prognosis cycle.
• Be able to interpret the numerical products.
• Regular map work and interpretation of meteorological information relating to A

Consultant Meteorologist

I am aviation and marine Meteorologist with 40 years experience as a lecturer and Instructor. I have developed applied meteorology course provides pilots a sound analytical framework to facilitate identification of flight conditions and possible hazards. This course will cover both the aeronautical knowledge required for ATPL/JAA/FAA license, and elaborate
application of International operational meteorology, Tropical meteorology, Upper air meteorology, applied satellite meteorology, Global climatology, IMC Meteorology, Meso-scale short term meteorology and ground radar interpretation, weather hazards.

I am also a marine meteorologist with many years of experience in optimum ship routing, vessel performance analysis and weather event reconstructions.
