Formerly performing under the name Mark Wright. Almost twenty-five years of stage acting experience, mostly Shakespearian. With the move into professional work six years ago the emphasis shifted to improvisational and interactive acting with corporate work including murder dinners, treasure hunts, scare attractions and promenade or site specific theatre with audience participation.

The Canterville Ghost - 26th - 28th April 2013
The Canterville Ghosts was a eight-hander play with promenade and audience interaction elements, utilizing the wooden beamed barn at Loudwater Farm and transforming it into Canterville Manor. A demographic-defying production that appealed to people of all ages.
Beyond the Grave - 28th Ocober 2012
As far as I can tell, looking back through my diary, I was first approached to write a Hallowe'en interactive event on the 8th October 2012, and naturally I said "Hallowe'en's just three and a half weeks away, and I assume it has to be rehearsed as well, so how long does that give me" and I was told "actually the performance is on the 28th". So in terms of tight deadlines, this was the tightest I've ever faced. Brainstorming ensued, and the first draft of the character backgrounds and script for the first scene were sent out to everyone the next day.
By the 21st we had all the scripted scenes written, and this mainly involved a lot of staying up to the early hours listening to moody classical music (songs with words disturb my concentration when I'm writing) and eating my way through numerous packets of hobnobs, and letting my tea go cold. And then going to a rehearsal the following morning to do the scenes I'd just written. The character I got cast as myself (not by my own design or intention, I hasten to add) was suffering from sleep deprivation. Fortuitously, so was I.
Hound of the Baskervilles - coming soon 2013
Myself and co-writer Errol Clayton, are reaching the end of the first draft of a three-hander storytelling evening based on Arthur Conan Doyle's Hound of the Baskervilles. We've found a satisfactory venue near Baker Street, and we expect to have the show up on it's feet during the first third of this year.
Play the Goat: Closure - 31st October 2012
Some photos from Closure; one of two short plays included in the Goat Theatre Company's cabaret theatre event "Play the Goat: The Hallowe'en Edition".
Closure set in a basement where an estate agent is showing a potential buyer the attractions of the property, little does she know the dark history of the basement or the nature and reasons for her client's morbid fascination. It's a dark menacing but occassionally comic piece that we are hoping to make into a short film later in the year.
2011's showreel: Very much looking forward to 2013's later this year, when we can include material from Foolish People's "Strange Factories", "Two Days in the Smoke" and possibly Ron Howard's "Rush" and the planned short film version of "Closure" (see above)
