Watson - Private Security and Surveillance - Northern Ireland, UK

Mark Watson

Northern Ireland, UK

Hello my name is Mark Watson and I have just completed the City and Guides Level 3 Close Protection course and a First Aid at Work certificate with Defibrillator training with Minerva (NI) based in Northern Ireland.

I also have over nine years Military experience with the British Army, during which time I saw action in Northern Ireland where I was deployed on three tours before the ceasefires were called. Here I was involved in numerous search operations on suspect’s vehicle and dwellings, area searches of farm land, vehicles, persons and marine searches of vessels in Carlingford Lough, which spans the border with the Irish Republic, along with the Royal Marines.

I was also involved in surveillance operations against known terrorist in and around the southern County Down area as well as protective surveillance on at risk off duty personnel.

Later I was re-deployed to the Intelligence Section where I collated intelligence collected by several sources both military (Covert and Overt) and civilian. I also tracked the movements of terrorist vehicles.

Most recently I have just returned from a very arduous six month tour of Helmund Province Afghanistan, where I was engaged in the IED search and exposure roll, as well as Team Medic and Infantry Combat Soldier. During this tour I exposed several IED’s, came under fire on over 30 different occasions and treated casualties from IED explosions which included fragmentation and amputee injuries.

For full CV please email.
