have been working in the electrical industry for 20 years and have successfully worked on and learned on a lot of different types of installations, I love going to work and pushing myself to be the best in what I do, and most of all I love a new challenge.
I feel I would have a lot to offer any employer in the oil and gas industry and would prove to be a valuable asset to any company. although I have no offshore experience I would be willing to do a first shift offshore without being paid!!

Reporting to an on site supervisor, responsibilities involve carrying out scheduled maintenance programmes within lycra and Kevlar production facilities. Such as the upgrades of various plant and instrumentation within potentially explosive atmospheres. Also carrying out risk assessments before commencement of work and working under a permit to work system and ensuring any member of staff and myself adhere to duponts strict safety policies.

Kildare community school. On this contract I was responsible for a section of the school, where I led a team on the installation of containments, such as cable trays, trunkings and steel conduits. After this we were to wire lighting, small power and mechanical services, etc. and then fit out. Always liaison with an on site supervisor to ensure we completed within deadlines.

Was responsible for leading a squad of 4 to 6 other electricians in the installation of new containments and wiring of new lighting, power and fire alarm. Ensuring all works carried out was to a high standard safely and professionally. Working to strict deadlines. This took a lot of careful planning and execution of all works, during night shifts. Ensuring no difficulties for banking staff and customers on the following days.

At Perfecseal new plant Campsie, Derry. Was responsible for installation of containments, fire alarm, power and lighting, both 1st and 2nd fixing. Also glanding and terminating of main SWAS from main distribution to sub distribution. Carrying out all works to a high standard safely and professionally.
September 2004 - May 2006
DuPont Kevlar expansion project. Responsibilities were to install containment, control panels, SWAS from panels to various plant and instrumentation. Always adhering to strict safety policies. Working on scheduled maintenance programmes, within potentially explosive zones throughout lycra and Kevlar plants.
June 2003 - August 2004
Barclays bank HQ, canary wharf. Was responsible for installation of conduits, trunkings, wiring and fitting of lighting and small power.
Wembley stadium, London. Responsibilities involved installation of cable ladders, trays and baskets.
September 1993 - July 2003
During this spell, I served my time and worked as an electrician with Feeny Electrical, working mainly on domestic and commercial installations, I feel I gained an excellent understanding and competence of wiring lighting systems, heating systems and many different small power systems. Always working in a team and to very strict deadlines set me in good stead to go on to work on bigger installations.
