I have been driving forklifts in and around container yards and depots for 12 years. Loading/unloading light commercial loads, fresh produce & equipment.
October 2001 - July 2013
I started as a trainee Quarantine fumigator in October 2001. Gaining my fumigation & forklift licence in 2002. In 2004 A.Q.I.S requirements changed & brought in the On Shore Fumigation Scheme. In which I gained my fumigation accreditation. In 2007 I gained further certification for perishable goods & a competency certificate was completed in 2010. In 2006 Fick decided to open a depot in Melbourne, in which I assisted in setting up & creating a client base after which I ran for nine months before moving back to Sydney.
For the last seven years I was running a team of 6 people including OH&S, on job training, mentoring, coaching & site inductions. In my thirteen years at flick I also ran the depot on relief & after hour's shift.
Duty's also included risk assessments, assessment of suitability of Site, preparation & treatment of goods, DAFF & in-house paper work & providing customer service.
February 1999 - June 2001
After moving from Perth to Sydney I stated working for O'Brian Interiors as a laborer concentrating on commercial work sites. Including: units, service stations, hotels & correctional centers.
Duty's included framing, sheeting & sanding walls ceilings & Bulkheads. Framing & tiling suspended ceilings.

Moving out of my home town Dubbo to Perth, I worked for Tanks West, a national company in the manufacture of fiberglass water Tanks. Gaining a certificate of achievement for Chopper Gun Operation in 1996. Also assisting in mold construction & maintenance, chopper gun & pump maintenance, repairing of damaged tanks & Relief supervisor.
Golden West Motor Inn
July 1993 - June 1994
at the Golden West Motor Inn. Having a small staff of one kitchen hand and one trainee we prepared and served an al a kart restaurant of thirty & room service of twenty rooms. Also set menus for coaches & breakfast shift.
Duties include ordering, preparation & serving meals. Creating Menus. Maintaining general hygiene of the kitchen, training & mentoring trainees.
Later in my apprenticeship I mentored, trained & supervised other apprentices & trainees
Ashwood Country Club
June 1989 - February 2006

Starting my apprenticeship mid 1989 at a top end restaurant in Dubbo, with food preparations and cleaning. Six months in I was placed on to the entrees & sweets station. Mid-way through my second year I started to learn mains. After obtaining my driver's licence I started on breakfast shift. Later in my apprenticeship I mentored, trained & supervised other apprentices & trainees.
The Ashwood Country Club was an al a kart restaurant of eighty seats with a function center of one hundred & twenty people with forty hotel rooms.
