Working as Buyer for the NWH Group and dealing with manufacturers and merchants for the supply of all materials on the Opal Homes sites and other parts of the NWH business.
Remit also included working for a period of time on tipper and plant hire sales which involved daily contact with site managers for the various housebuilders, contractors and civil engineering companies the group supplied organising machine hire, muck shifting and supplying recycled aggregates.

Responsible for the setting up of H+H Celcon's Scottish distribution operation in Uddingston as well as maintaining and growing the now substantial customer base consisting of major and regional housebuilders/groundworkers/contractors and merchants both national and independent.
Communicating daily with the Chief Buyers of the Major and Regional housebuilders ensuring all service aspects, ie transport, product availability and quality are maintained. This includes regular visits to site and ongoing contact with site managers.
Remit also includes the negotiation and implementation of price increases in the marketplace to non-major end users and merchants.
Working in partnership with merchant and end user customers to promote Celcon's various build systems and increase market share for both dealing with all levels from Trade Counter to Director level. This includes some joint calling.
Practial product training to merchant staff and end users is organised regularly both at customer premises and also utilising Celcon's facilities at Uddingston.
