My keyrole is to plan, organize, lead and control all Building Inland related HR issues and activities and liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders. This included providing guidance and support to the Building HOD’s to enable them to deliver on their KPI’s.

My position required assistance in administering and managing the total HR function at Building Inland which includes the SAP HR System, Bursars, Employment Equity, Recruitment and Selection, Industrial Relations, Mentorship Programme, Policies and Procedures, Salary and Wage Administration, Skills Development, Talent Management, Retention. Total workforce consists of 893 employees.

I have a total team of 8 personnel reporting to me:

During 2011, I was involved as the responsible HR Manager to assist in all personnel administration, recruitment, IR, ER, manpower planning and budget of labour for project.

Social and Labour plans (DMR)
Actively involved in supplying data and requirements in the compilation for Group Social and Labour plans as per statutory requirements.

Recruitment and selection
I was solely responsible for drafting my own advert, get them placed and distributed, shortlisting, assessments, interview process, offers made.
Was responsible for the onboarding of Manager in the organization, i.e. introduction to the new work environment, organizing computer, cellphone, access card.


Reason for leaving: Position was affected by integration of Xstrata Coal and Glencore. Due to duplication of positions in services, aggressive campaign was run to reduce labour costs, my last day with Glencore was 31 July 2013.

Duties My keyrole was the planning, organizing, leading and controlling of all complex related HR issues and activities and liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders. This included providing guidance and support to the Complex HOD's to enable them to deliver on their KPI's.

My position required assistance in administering and managing the total HR function at Witbank Group Services Complex (with a staff compliment of about 700 people and a team of 10 people reporting to me), which included, but not limited to:
