Summary:

I’m presently based in Newcastle. My native language is Spanish however I can understand English verbally and written.

I moved to England for two reasons, one of them is because I am involved in the sector of the education as vocation since I was 18 years old and another reason is to improve my English and be competent in that language.

My experience in Education as well as my knowledge in ages since First years and Primary , which I have learned and put into practice from 2004 at different schools as a Teacher in Spain.

At the present time I am a volunteer at South Gosforth First School (Newcastle Upon Tyne) since last year. As a teacher support, I am helping in year 1 and 2, since last year. This has given me the basic knowledge of Primary National Curriculum.

As well as I teach Spanish as a private tutoring since last November 2012.

I am a qualified teacher and have satisfied any additional requirements which are necessary to obtain “QTS” from The National College for Teaching and Leadership.

Projects

Volunteer in a Primary School

At the present time I am a volunteer at South Gosforth First School (Newcastle Upon Tyne) since last year.
As a teacher support, I am helping in year 1 and 2, helping to children and teacher at Numeracy and Literacy. I assist in the preparation of resources, listening to children read and working with individual children or small groups to help them in their classroom work.As well as with the lower ability children and children with special educational needs.
As a native Spanish-speaker I had the oportunity to offer my skills helping a child from Ecuador who spoke no English to settle into school, and to assist the teacher in communicating complex messages to the girl’s parents.
This has given me the basics knowledge of Primary National Curriculum.

Because of this, I strongly believe that to participate in the school is the best way to develop my personal and professional skills. I want to enrich my cultural awareness and experience, and I am very enthusiastic and ready to work.
