I am proceeding to the next stage of my professional life, having worked in administration for over 30 years. My working life has included administration in the political field (working for Members of Parliament in Canberra and Electorate offices) , local government and universities. Now I wish to move onto providing support to people during their time of grief and to put into practice my training as a Funeral Celebrant. This has been a desire of mine for many years . I am now seeking mentoring in this profession so I can be fully prepared to take on such a role. My current work involves providing support to people who are often in crisis and I feel this is my calling, to be compassionate and caring while doing the 'paperwork' for people in a time when they can't deal with it themselves. My grounding in administration is a strength in this sense. However, I am also compassionate, creative and intuitive and feel these qualities are essential ingredients for being a Funeral Celebrant. I am confident I can support people in their time of grief and help them to plan the service they want for their loved one. In the meantime, I also wish to maintain my typing and computer skills and would enjoy having some paid work as a 'virtual Assistant'. I believe my life experience and practical skills are a powerful combination for anyone needing assistance with jobs such as; entering data for a research project, transcribing dictation or compiling a 'tricky' excel data set.
