 Configuration of desktops/scanners/printers/Notebooks/Thin Client/ Servers
 Repairing, Software firmwareupdate of SAMSUNG, DELL and ONYX Phones and Tablet
 Cascade existing equipment where appropriate
 Ensure correct maintenance on equipment
 Manage loan equipment
 Upgrade and Downgrade of Hardware and Software
 Uploading and Redeployment of Images to and from the Deployment Server
 Assessment and replacement of faulty parts
 Ordering of Spares
 Provide helpdesk analytical reports (Track-It) to measure performance
 performance levels identify training needs and determine problem areas
 Follow up on all support calls logged and obtain feedback from end users
 Provide assistance to all other department members where required
 Customer consultation (enquiries and queries)

Job Description / Key Results Area:

Assist and advice Sales People and Customers on technical requests / queries.
Rework, Customisations and Assembly to be done within ISO9001-2008 specifications.
Quality Control and Ethical practice of Department Equipment must be adhered to at all times in the Config Centre.
Attend relevant technical and in-house training. Constant growth must be adhered too.
Answer all incoming Config related calls (Less than 2 minutes) and email (Within 1 Hour) requests.
Adhering to Company rules, Departmental rules and regulations as per Employee Guide.
Must be flexible to be available at both Wynberg and Linbro Config Centre’s as required by Management.

Checking the correct quantity and description on Receiving and Despatching of orders: Logging in/out and receiving / despatching via hoist.
Data Capturer: Capturing orders correctly on the Embrace Database; Creating QC sheets and relevant labels.
Configuring PC’s, Servers and Notebooks: Installing H/W, loading S/W, bios updates, labelling / asset tagging and testing.
General: Packing and un-packing boxes/pallets, signing of QC sheets/picking slip/log sheets, Cleaning benches, reporting any fault to the supervisors, shrink wrapping completed orders, using issued ESD wrist strap and protective gear while in the configuration centre.
Downgrades: Optical media being used for cutting of downgrade disks for customers.
