Summary:

My name is Marcus Munn and I have 7 years experience worker with various children and young people from all walks of lives, whose individual needs differ. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience and have obtained a Youth Work and Community Foundation Degree in 2011 and also have had training in Theraplay Therapy. I am currently employ by a fostering agency for which I am required to manage and maintain a case load of 5 children undertaking therapeautic work in the form of Life story Work and I Identity work. I also have developed a programme for the organisation for children who have issues with substance misuse and also apart of the Moving Forward team which helps prepare young people for independence. My other duties requires me to provide a children's newsletter 4 times a year and organise groups for children and also there foster Carers. Within this role I am required to write reports assist children in LAC reviews where I act as an advocate and also undertake relative training like managing challenging behaviour, Life story etc.
I have also been recommended by a therapist, to undertaken Life Story work with Children from Birmingham Children's Service and Also another Fostering agency as a self employed practitioner.
Part of my skills I can build up relationships both quickly and effectively with not only children but member s of the team and external agencies. I have developed unique skills to engage young people varied from role play, to work sheets, to using puppets all of which I have resourced and developed myself. I am enthusiastic individual who would like to not only utilise the skills I have but also develop them more so that it can assist me with my practise.
