i) Acting as a support to the Maintenance Manager in achieving KPI's related to
Exploration, Production and Grade control drill rig availabilities, stock order and usage, maintenance planning. Total of 3 grade control, 4 exploration rigs and 10
blasthole rigs consisting of Atlas Roc L8, F9, Explorac E220, DM30 and DM45,
Boart Longyear LM90, CS1000.
ii) Also the maintenance of support equipment including Land Cruisers, Telehandler,
Fork Lift, Generators, lighting plants and water pumps along with everyday office
and workshop maintenance and planning and parts order and usage.
iii) Supervising of maintenance roster and crews in planning and allocating daily
jobs, planned jobs, breakdowns and shift handovers. Controlling of leave and training allocation as well as the conducting of performance appraisals and
supporting in contract renewals and HR related issues.

viii) From field service support and assignments conducted to date; almost all
seem to coincide with the opportunity and/or expectation of technical knowledge
share and/or transfer directed internal to Sandvik as well as external to the customer and its personnel. Communication, presentation and training skills
development as well as practical facilitation and training responsibilities executed to date aided my specific growth in personal knowledge transfer capabilities and confidence building, practical training experience gained not to mention

training and developing local mine employees to maintain and support Sandvik
equipment on site as per recommended standards and safe working practices.
ii) Also assist with the implementation of systems on site to ensure machine
efficiency is maximized through planning and logistical support in order to have
set procedures and guidelines to assist mining personnel to be assured of efficient communication, feedback, support and maximized machine availability through safe working procedures and safe working environment.
iii) As a result of above specified work exposure and experience gained to date as well as my personal work pride and high personal performance drive have
assisted me greatly in molding my technical capabilities and strengths to the point within my career where it is an honor and privilege to be regarded as a technical
maintenance specialist within Sandvik when it comes to Sandvik Surface Drill
Rig equipment offering. I am also privilege to have had the opportunity to provide
expert Field Service technical maintenance support services to Sandvik Mining and Construction Region Africa and associated client base outside of South
Africa including Barrick Mining in Tanzania.

All round technical field service support exposure and experience gained within
Sandvik Mining and Construction with specific focus on aftermarket technical service support to Sandvik Mining and Construction's surface mining equipment range and related client base. The field service support experience, skills development and knowledge gained through this period were specifically beneficial from the following perspective:
i) Practical exposure and insight gained of Sandvik Mining and Construction's
Surface Mining Field Service offering and associated service delivery obligations,
expected working policies and procedures with specific reference to D25KS,
D45KS and Pantera/DP1500 Surface Drill Rigs.
ii) Exposure to internal- and external-client relationship management responsibilities and associated personal behavior and skills development.
iii) Exposure to ongoing and specialized technical maintenance service support
experience gained on surface mining drill rig applications within the mining
iv) High level technical and product specific practical experience and knowledge
gained to date with regard to maintenance fault finding and advanced
maintenance diagnostic techniques and practices on Hydraulics, Pneumatics and
Electrical and Mechanical.
v) Due to the specific nature and application of Sandvik Mining and Construction's
Field Service Support scope of work necessitate that a technician be dispatch to a
client's maintenance request on a individual basis - as such I benefitted from this to the extent that I had to learn to work independently which again forced me to develop essential skills such as self motivation, self discipline, self confidence,
leadership, personal inter-relationships and communication skills development not to mention technical maintenance know-how gained through numerous technical
equipment problem solving sessions and challenges faced to date.
