1. Ensure that the plant consistently produces an effluent and water of quality equal or better than it is designed to produce.
2. Ensure that all parameters are closely monitored and maintained via SCADA controls.
3. Systematically record all process parameter including chemical consumption, prepare daily production and consumption report.
4. Carry out and arrange for all required laboratory analysis and test of the water and sewage passing through the plant to maintain proper efficiency in operation.
5. Maintain all equipment and structures of the plant in good order and condition.
6. Keep proper records of operation and maintenance jobs including spare parts cost and consumed man hours.
7. Ensure that all precautions necessary for the safety of personnel and property are observed.
8. Prepare daily production report and monthly chemical inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and control through DCS/SCADA system the status of whole seawater cooling system acknowledging the faults, passing on information to the station operator for needful communication w/ industries and running the system in balanced state as per guidance and instruction from shift charge engineer
2. Report to the shift charge engineer and is situated in the control room.
3. Monitor alarms and events of dcs and scada system in control room and instruct operators at pump station , main electrical substation, gas turbine and chlorination plant to act accordingly.
4. Monitors the operation of Sea water cooling pump, drum screen, wash water pumps and bearing cooling pumps. Logs defect reports originating from maintenance departments.
5. Maintains log sheet and logbook in his shift

8. Receives call from maintenance/industries and feedback information to them as per instruction by shift charge engineer/operation manager.

1. Responsable to maintain the normal operation the combined sea water conversion and power plant operation.
2. Proper coordination with co-operator, for in the coming unit should be balance to the unit already online during synchronization.
3. Also a proper coordination to the following operators in every section such as Boiler operator, Diesel generator, Desalination and R.O. operator and Water plant operator to maintain the teamwork in the plant.
4. Hourly record of T/G electrical load, plant auxiliaries gauge reading, boiler load and monitor all units on operation.
5. Check and analyze data gathered and reports any abnormalities observed.
6. Monitor and record D/G online electrical load and other reading on the remote control panel.
7. Always coordinate to the D/G operator in bringing unit online or offline together if there is abnormally observed.
8. In the vent of distribution load tripping at any cause, coordinate to H.V. electrician thru the radio communication for bringing the back the load.
9. Make a turn-over reports and record plant status at the end of every shift as the reference of the incoming shift personnel.

Boiler Operator

1. Responsible for the operation of High and Low pressure boiler.
2. Observes pressure, temperature, and draft meters on panel to verify specified operation of automatic combustion control systems.
3. Operates automatically fired boilers to generate steam that supplies heat or power for buildings or industrial processes.
4. Turns valves and adjusts controls to set specified fuel feed, draft openings, water level, and steam pressure of boiler.
5. Observes boiler and auxiliary units to detect malfunctions and makes repairs, such as changing burners and tightening pipes and fittings.
6. May test and treat boiler feed water, using specified chemicals.
7. May maintain log of meter and gauge readings and record data, such as water test results and quantity of fuel consumed.
8. Check fuel supply regularly and clean fuel filters on a regular basis. Observe good house keeping.
9. Do proper procedure in doing soot blowing and burner gun changing.

6. Perform routine check-up of boiler firing water level condition and abnormal condition coordinate this matter to maintenance section for appropriate action.
7. Handles less complicated emergencies encountered and do remedial actions to prevent water and steam shortage
8. Check newly delivered bunker fuel and diesoline oil and takes periodical inventory of the same.
